Seven months!

I can't believe Ethan has been here for seven months! He is such a bundle of energy and we love him so much! He is always smiley and whenever we go somewhere he flirts with anyone we see. I can't believe how big he is getting! He is wearing 12 month clothes. AH!! He is really fun to play with now and is learning so much every day. Today was a really big first. He CRAWLED! He has been getting so close and he can really move backward, but today he switched out of reverse and headed forward! It's a good thing we got all the babyproofing done! We probably will find a few things we missed as time goes by, but the essentials are covered for now. He is so cute when he crawls because his arms kind of "flap". If he gets too excited they flap too much and he plops onto his belly. The next big milestone(for Loren and me!) is when he learns to swallow his spit. He slobers so much! It just pours out and it is so gross! Ethan and Zoey are best buds. He does have a few little scratches from her, and she is probably losing hair in patches thanks to him, but they tolerate each other and even play really well.

Some of Ethan's other tricks, are going from a crawling position to sitting up, pulling up on anything he can get a hold on and sucking on his bottom lip. Ok, so the last one isn't really a trick, but it's cute! His favorite toys are the "Cars" phone he 'borrowed' from Leslie and his stuffed monkey. He loves sucking on the monkey's tail. It has us baffled, but to each his own! His favorite 'non-toy's' are the remote control for the dvd player, and the computer keyboard. Oh, and our cell phones.

One of Ethan's favorite foods is squash. He does not like peaches! He tried cheerios for the first time today and those he was able to get into his mouth and keep there he seemed to really enjoy. Ethan goes to bed at about 9 each night now(for the last week or so anyway, fingers crossed he keeps it up!) and wakes up at about 8 when Loren gets up for work. He still wakes up occasionally for a few minutes at night but usually goes back to sleep right away. He takes one short nap(20-30 minutes) each day and one longer one(1-2 hours). He loves snuggling and he LOVES giggling! He is super ticklish. His knees and thighs are SO ticklish! That makes diaper changes fun because he just giggles the whole time. He is also very ticklish on his belly and his feet.

At his last appointment on May 28th, Ethan was 25 1/2 " long and weighed 17.05 lbs. He is in the 60th percentile for height and the 45th for weight. For head circumference he was in the 50th percentile.

We sure love our little bug! I don't know if we just got lucky, or we did something right, but he is a happy and healthy little boy. I just can't believe he is already seven months old!
