Kicking and Rocking

K... Ethan has figured out how to tell me I'm not rocking fast enough for him. He kicks his feet however fast he wants to rock! If I don't get the message(or I ignore it for too long), he'll start to whimper, then goes straight to howling! It's not too bad during the day... but we were almost asleep! Then I had to turn the lamp on for a minute because I had almost forgotten to take my medicine. Well... that woke him all the way up. So now we are rocking to the point I feel like we are about to tip over! I'm glad I've at least figured out how to still type!
I had a revelation today. Well, more than one actually... but here's one of them. I'm going to teach piano lessons! I'm really excited about it! I had several different teachers growing up and I have a pretty set idea of how I want to run it. Loren asked how much I would make and you know... I hadn't thought about it, but when he asked I realized as long as I make more than enough to cover supplies and everything, I don't really care. Then I decided that it would be nice to make a little extra to put toward finishing my school. So there ya go. I spent quite a while today(while rocking like a maniac!) brainstorming and getting a start on how I want to run the lessons and some of my policies and everything. I'm just really excited because I want to do something with what I've learned of music. I'm only going to teach beginning to intermediate students though. I would feel like I might not do a good enough job with any level above intermediate. This also gives a justification for spending a small fortune on a piano! And I have wanted to teach piano for a long time, I just didn't have space for a piano. Now I will! I still have some logistics to work out of course. But I got a pretty good start on some of the planning today.
Our contract will start March 1st. We are planning to go to Disneyland with my family if they can, so I guess we will probably move when we get back. I'm going to have everything all ready though so we just have to take it over. We can just live out of our suitcases when we get back until I can get unpacked. If I need to, I think we could store some things either in the garage over there, or at Lasha's for a little while, but I'll need to ask her. I'm also going to be very picky and send a lot of stuff up with my family, or to DI if I don't think they could use it. And Loren and I decided tonight to downsize our clothes a little bit. I have quite a few things I don't wear and I know Loren does too.
Oh boy... I can't get over how nice it will be to have a washer and dryer all to myself! Wymount was ok... but we hated going outside and having to wait if all the machines were being used. Here is ok... but again, going outside... and we can't just do laundry whenever we need to. There are two fairly small closets there; one in each bedroom. I think we will each take one. We'll need to use it to store a few extra things too. There is a garage that I would like to use for any extra storage, but Loren REALLY wants to put the car in it. I'm ok with that though. And there's a little space in the "basement" for a few boxes or something. I really like how the girl had it set up with not a ton of "extras". It looks so nice. I don't like having lots of clutter. Well... Ethan is nodding off, so I'm going to try this again... Sorry... I was going to add pictures, but I don't have any current, and I want to take advantage of him going to sleep cuz I'm tired too....... night!
